Renting a campervan in Ireland has so much to offer.

Two friends head off to see what Ireland is like through the cab of a Campervan. They took the keys and hit the road . A nice scenic filled drive awaited them and by all reports the lads liked the feel of the wheel. The banter (irish term for fun) was high and they’d planned to stay a night in Fossa Camping site before moving on to Flemings.

With a host of activities planned. Surfing, climbing, fishing and climbing Carrantuohill were on the menu. Tough! .

Thankfully their bodies were ready for it and on the last day Falconry was the activity of choice.

Here’s their video.

Today December 1st 2011 Paul Fallon leads a team of fundraisers as he attempts to run 1000 miles and raise money to fight against homelessness. We are helping their fundraising efforts by sponsoring a motorhome as a support vehicle for Paul and his team.

See Paul’s outline of what he’ll be doing and how he’s hoping to raise much needed funds.

This December I will be running 1000 miles around Ireland to try to raise funds for the homeless charity that I started back in January, On The Road Again.

Our target is to try to raise €100,000 for OTRA.

To help us reach this goal, we are holding events in 8 cities & towns around Ireland during my run.

We hope to get 1000 people to sign up on our website, and for each person to try to raise €100.

I realise that these are tough times economically for a lot of people, so we have set up a page with sponsor.ie so that you can ask your friends, colleagues etc to sponsor you.

We should also have sponsorship cards available shortly, people can email me and I will make sure that they receive them.

I want to try to get at least 125 people to run a mile with me at each location highlighted in the itinerary. see www.otra.ie

Lots more details are available on our website.

We also have set up a facebook page here, https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=290233111004829

As you can imagine, I will need a lot of assistance due to the nature of the event. I will need a camper van to follow me around the country so that I can stop off to change clothes, get warm, rest, eat etc. (I plan to run approx 2hrs each morning & 3hrs in the afternoon)

I have recruited a number of people to help me along the way. I have 3 drivers and also I will have the help of a P.A.

Good luck Paul and your team from all of us in Celtic Campervans. We hope you raise the much needed funds for this worthy cause.

All our readers can do their bit and help Paul out by going to his website www.otra.ie or clicking on this link http://sponsor.ie/donate/make_donate/charity/otra/ and donating.

It really is for a great cause so please, do what you can.

Olympic Games are fast approaching and by now many people have bought their tickets. Most of the events sold out in record time and the 2012 Olympic Games is now at everyone’s fingertips.

London seems to be buzzing with excitement and apprehension in what we all hope will be known for years to come as the greatest Olympic Games of all time.

This sporting spectacle is so unique in that all nations and supporters come together and see history in the making. With so many supporters and tourists aiming to hit London during the 27th of July and the 12th of August 2012 accommodation is going to be hard to come by. You may be lucky to find somewhere but then you’ll have the joys of the never ending commute to the stadiums and trying to make sure you’re on the right tube, or in the right location and no doubt these are headaches no one really wants.

That is why we think renting a motorhome is the perfect solution. Park up nearby the stadium or get ahead of the crowd and drive to the location the night before – doing this makes sure you’re completely destress before it ever becomes an option and then you can really enjoy the 2012 London Games and soak in the atmosphere.

Breakdown the costs of your holiday between 4 or up to 6 people and you’ve an extremely affordable holiday, however the unique experience you’ll share with your friends or family is priceless.

So talk to your friends, get them on board and start planning a trip of a lifetime. Get behind your countrymen and women be there to experience some of the finest sporting moments of a lifetime.

Celtic Campervans recently featured in a Sunday Business Post article about motorhome holidays in Ireland.

Vanessa O’Loughlin tried a campervan holiday for the first time and was impressed by her Celtic Campervan.

Despite a full demo and some gems of advice from Celtic Campervans boss Stephen Bradshaw, we nervously steered our juggernaut off the slip road and on to the motorway.

But after a few minutes comfortably cruising down the M50,we felt like kings of the road with several metres of our new home stretching out behind us.

Before we left, Stephen had told us that in his many years of renting out motorhomes, he’s noticed that first-time clients tend to split along gender lines: men can’t wait to get behind the wheel, while women immediately want to eye up the home comforts.

We certainly fit the stereotype; my partner enjoyed being in command of our 2.3L turbo diesel, six-gear Lagan 220, while I was impressed by the ingenious use of the Lilliputian living space.

Our house on wheels really was more of a home than I expected. Hot water and heating are available at the flick of a switch, and when we parked in Roundwood, Co Wicklow that evening, we discovered that the double berth above the driver’s cabin included a headrest, a reading light and plenty of bedside pockets.

If you're heading off on your travels in January, don't miss Dublin's Temple Bar TradFest: Ireland's biggest traditional festival celebrating Irish music and culture, and a great way to start your motorhome holiday.

The leading company for campervan hire in Ireland, Celtic Campervans, has its rental offices in Dublin and even offers its customers free airport collection from Dublin International Airport. This makes Dublin an ideal kick-off point for your tour of Ireland in a campervan. If you’re heading off on your travels in January, don’t miss Dublin’s Temple Bar TradFest: Ireland’s biggest traditional festival celebrating Irish music and culture, and a great way to start your motorhome holiday.

Motorhome hire in Dublin couldn’t be easier with Celtic Campervans: you will be met at the airport, taken straight to the nearby rental office to collect your luxury motorhome and then, with some advice on the best places to park the motorhome in and around Dublin, head off to explore the city. Dublin is a jewel in the Emerald Isle that is not to be missed; use it as a starting point before exploring the rest of the country, and then return your campervan back to Dublin and near to the airport at the end of your stay.

Any trip to Dublin in January has to include the Temple Bar TradFest as it is the biggest and (arguably!) the best cultural celebration of all things Irish. This is a five day event, in 2011 taking place from January 26th to 30th, and features a programme jam-packed with delights, from live street music to gala concerts of local, traditional Irish musicians. The whole Temple Bar area of Dublin, which boasts the liveliest of Dublin’s nightlife, hosts TradFest events: a simple pub crawl will find you in intimate jam sessions, mythological story-telling or perhaps just a good old fashioned knees-up. TradFest is a perfect introduction to Irish culture and will whet your appetite for exploring more of the country.

Campervan rental in Ireland with Celtic Campervans gives you a window on the world of Irish culture, getting you out and about among the people and places which make the country great. Check booking availability online for January 2011 or click here for daily hire rate information.

Celtic Campervans understand that there may be a slim chance that Santa might rent one of our motorhomes this Christmas should Rudolf or one of the reindeers not be fit enough to pull his sleigh. Of course we would be honoured to assist Santa with one of our fleet to deliver his tokens of joy to children, their families and friends around the World this year. Should this happen it would be at the last minute so logon to www.noradsanta.org where they will be tracking Santa as he delivers his gifts on the 24th December.

Hopefully Rudolf and all the reindeers will be fully fit to continue a most wonderful tradition, bringing joy to countless children around the World.

We don’t know which of our young or young at heart clients told Santa about Celtic Campervans rental service.

Maybe it was one-year-old Gemma who thoroughly checked out camper and facilities with her Mum before joining her Dad for a drink in an Irish Pub.

Then again it might have been 17-week-old Clodagh who toured Scotland in the snow. Her Mum and Dad said she had a great time not wanting to leave the camper on her return.

Could it have been the Power family who had a great time touring the west of Ireland in one of our modern motorhomes?

Regardless of who it may have been, we in Celtic Campervans would like to say thank you to all our clients and tourism partners who availed of our rental service for 2010.

We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and peaceful Festive Season and every good wish for 2011.

Living in the modern age is all about being connected. We use mobile phones, email, the internet and social media to get connected with events and places, with friends and family, and even with strangers! It’s making the world a much smaller place. There’s a surprisingly old school way of seeing this shrinking world that really connects you to both people and places: motorhome hire in Ireland with Celtic Campervans.

Travelling in a motorhome in Ireland is an entirely different experience than staying in hotels. The latter will involve meeting a friendly receptionist and fellow guest at the breakfast buffet at best, whereas a holiday in a motorhome connects you with a huge range of people. Out on the open road, mapping your own route, you can travel far more widely than the vicinity of the hotel, introducing you to far more local characters than you’ll find in a hotel foyer. Stop off in any roadside pub or café and there are sure to be some friendly locals ready to advise you on a village or landmark not to be missed. Explore the towns and villages of Ireland in your motorhome and you’ll be able to plan a tour of sights based on word-of-mouth from all the new friends you’ve made along the way.

Campervan hire in Ireland and indeed all over the world is like accessing the friendliest members club in the world! Get used to fellow motorhome holiday-makers beeping and waving on your travels and park up in a communal motorhome park and you are bound to meet some fellow campervan travellers keen to swap stories from your travels.

Motorhome rental in Ireland also connects you with the landscape of Ireland in a far more visceral way than any other type of holiday. Having your home on wheels means you can get out and about into the wilds of the country without sacrificing comfort. Think of how many sunrises, sunsets, unexpected views and hidden gems of places you miss out on when you have static hotel windows as your only view of Ireland. Get out and about in Ireland in a luxurious motorhome from Celtic Campervans and you’ll feel completely connected with the fantastic people and places this beautiful country has to offer.

Why not check out our great rates for 2011 or take a virtual tour of the inside of our luxurious motorhomes.

Celtic Campervans has enjoyed sharing the wonders of renting motorhomes in Ireland (wohnmobiles Irland) with customers from all over the world for more than three decades. That means that there are thousands of people dotted all over the globe that know a thing or two about this Irish business, their fantastic fleet of campervans and the memorable holidays they provide. However, for the un-initiated, here are five things that you might now know about Ireland’s leading campervan rental company!

1. Celtic Campervans are like mini-homes on wheels.

Gone are the days when campervans were no more than a mobile steel box, perhaps with a sink and a bed in the back if you were lucky. Celtic Campervans’ fleet contains some of the best camper vans in Ireland (Wohnwagen Irlanda), and because they have comfortable spacious beds, small dining tables with lounge seats, kitchen and shower facilities, they are like mini-homes on wheels.

2. You can take a 360 degree virtual tour of the motorhomes before you book.

See just how much comfort you’ll have on holiday by taking a virtual tour of one of the fleet at CelticCampervans.com. You can get a great idea about what your holiday home on wheels will be like with this 360 degree virtual tour.

3. They offer a free airport pick-up service.

Celtic Campervans believes that your campervan hire in Ireland (Wohnwagen Mieten Irland) should be as hassle-free as possible, so they offer to pick up their customers from Dublin airport absolutely free of charge.

4. They’re a favourite of sports fans.

Motorhome rental in Ireland (Wohnmobil-Verleih Irland) is a favourite of sports fans, both spectators and participants, because it’s a great way to tour to see your team play, to get to see important sporting events or to get out there and take part in your own sport. Celtic Campervans was the proud sponsor of Race around Ireland 2009, the 1,350 mile ultra marathon cycling event and provided support motorhomes for the Sky Sports coverage.

5. They’re a family firm you can trust.

Celtic Campervans is very much a family firm built on family values. Stephen Bradshaw is Managing Director and his son, Stephen R. Bradshaw is General Manager, and between them they ensure that Celtic Campervans customers are made to feel welcomed and assisted from the initial quote and booking through to advice on what to see on their next motorhome holiday in Ireland!

Why not find out more about our company, take a virtual tour of a Celtic Campervan or find out the daily hire rates?
