Cork Folk Festival 2018

The Cork Folk Festival returns this year for its 39th celebration of music and entertainment. The festival has taken place every year since 1979 and the amazing Kate Rusby from Yorkshires will headline this year’s festival.

The festival takes place over 5 days from 3rd – 7th of October. Performances will take place in music venues, concert halls, bars and on the Streets of Cork city. The festival as always will feature concerts with international, established artists and workshops, lectures, children’s entertainment, and some traditional set dancing.

The Cork Folk Festival is a family event and always has something for every member of the family, from the young to the old. There is something for every taste from Bluegrass to Cajun music, set to sean nós dancing and singers clubs to singer songwriters. There is also a pub trail map which allows you to plan your evening of entertainment and enjoy as many acts as possible in an evening.
